In order to sit for the final exam students have to fulfill the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vetphysiol.hu\/vetphys\/eng\/physio_requirements.php\">requirements<\/a>. Students who might sit for the final exam must provide their <strong>black\u00a0books\u00a0<\/strong>right before the exam.<\/p> <p>The regulations, for writing the final exam, are the same as for\u00a0that of the mid-term tests.\u00a0<strong>Not complying with\u00a0<\/strong>one or more of the rules will result in dismissal of the student from the exam and his or her<strong>\u00a0result will be &#8220;el\u00e9gtelen (1)&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p> <h2><strong>Signing up for the exam<\/strong><\/h2> <p>Only students who pass the <a href=\"http:\/\/physio_requirements.php\">requirements<\/a>\u00a0might sit for the final exam.<\/p> <p>Students can\u00a0<strong>sign up<\/strong>\u00a0for the final exam at the end of the semester, after the makeup tests. Signing up is possible from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vetphysiol.hu\/eng\/y_login.php\">student login<\/a>\u00a0area. Signing up for the exam is only possible\u00a0<strong>until noon on the last work day prior to the exam<\/strong>.<\/p> <p>Students may\u00a0<strong>postpone<\/strong>\u00a0their exam once in an examination period. Postponing is possible form the\u00a0student login\u00a0area. The exam may only be postponed until noon on the last work day prior to the exam.<\/p> <p>If the student\u00a0<strong>does not appear<\/strong>\u00a0on the exam, one of his\/her opportunities is lost!<\/p> <p>Students who\u00a0<strong>fail<\/strong>\u00a0on the final exam are allowed to repeat it. The final exam can be taken 3-times in the exam period that follows the curricular time of physiology and twice within other exam periods. Opportunities missed are lost, i.e. they cannot be transferred to a later exam period! Repeating a failed exam is possible after a minimum of\u00a0<strong>three days<\/strong>.<\/p> <h2><strong>The structure of the exam<\/strong><\/h2> <h3><strong>The entrance test<\/strong><\/h3> <p>In the first part students have to write\u00a0<strong>an entrance test\u00a0<\/strong>that will be corrected before the written exam. Students have 15 minutes to write the test. The entrance test consists of 15 questions: 10 questions check the knowledge of the standard data, and 5 further questions check the knowledge of the practical courses. Students have to give a minimum of 8 correct answers (over 50%) to pass the entrance test of the final exam.<\/p> <p><strong>Please note that<\/strong><\/p> <ul> <li>the entrance test uses the same questions as\u00a0the practical course (standard data &amp; short questions from lab 1- 10).<\/li> <li><strong>at least 8 points\u00a0<\/strong>(50%+) should be collected on the entrance test to pass.<\/li> <li>In case of an unsuccessful exam\u00a0<strong>the student will not qualify for a Final Exam.<\/strong><\/li> <li><strong>a successful entrance text will not have to be written again.<\/strong><\/li> <\/ul> <p>Student\u00a0<strong>is exempted from the entrance test<\/strong>, if:<\/p> <ul> <li>the student was in the top 10% of students in the semester prior to the final exam<\/li> <li>the Student Essay was rated accordingly<\/li> <li>the student was obliged to do the labs neither in the first nor in the second semester of Physiology prior to the exam<\/li> <li>the student wrote a successful entrance test on a previous exam<\/li> <\/ul> <h3><strong>The extended entrance test<\/strong><\/h3> <p>Students who have to take an\u00a0<a id=\"extended test\" name=\"extended test\"><\/a><strong>extended entrance<\/strong>\u00a0test before the final exam will receive 15 extra test questions from the &#8220;not accepted&#8221; semester. \u00a0In case of an unsuccessful exam\u00a0<strong>the extended entrance test will have to be written again.<\/strong><\/p> <p><strong>Please note that:<\/strong><\/p> <ul> <li>all of the questions are simple multiple choice questions.<\/li> <li><strong>at least 8 points <\/strong>(50%+) should be collected on the extended test to pass.<\/li> <li>in case of an unsuccessful exam\u00a0<strong>the student will not qualify for a Final Exam.<\/strong><\/li> <li>the extended test should be written<strong> before every Final Exam.<\/strong><\/li> <\/ul> <h3><strong>The written exam<\/strong><\/h3> <p>The\u00a0<strong>written exam<\/strong>\u00a0consists of\u00a0<strong>three parts<\/strong>\u00a0and should be completed within\u00a0<strong>100 minutes.<\/strong><\/p> <ul> <li>First, students should fill out a simple-choice\u00a0<strong>test.<\/strong>\u00a0Maximum 35 points can be collected with the test.<\/li> <li>In the second part, students analyze a\u00a0<strong>figure<\/strong>, from a specific chapter. Students will have to interpret the figures by filling out the indicated missing parts or by answering specific questions. Maximum 15 points can be collected with the figure.<\/li> <li>In the third part, students should write two\u00a0<strong>essays\u00a0<\/strong>(unrelated to the chapter covered by the figure). One topic comes from the first semester and the other one comes from the second one. The topic will be selected from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vetphysiol.hu\/eng\/essayquestions.php\">&#8220;Topic list for final exam in Physiology&#8221;<\/a>. Required subtopics will be listed, if necessary. Maximum 50 points can be collected by the essay questions, 25 points each.<\/li> <\/ul> <p>Students can collect maximum 100 points.
