After much thought and consideration, due to Covid-19 pandemic and uncertain possibilities of travelling abroad in the near future, the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest has decided to cancel the offline Summer School.

However, we are pleased to invite you to participate in an Online Version of the Summer School, the Online Summer School, which gives you the opportunity to get close to the field of veterinary medicine and vet-studies from your home!

Details of the programme:

Date: 27-30 July 2020
Price: 100 EUR/person
Lenght: 3 and a half days, approx. 5 hours/day
What you will need is a PC or laptop with strong internet access, microphone, webcam and enthusiasm.

Draft programme:

We will start every day with an online morning call to see if you are ready for the day! During the morning calls we will  get to know each other better and warm-up for the day.
After the morning calls each day you will participate in an online veterinary lecture in different fields, such as anatomy, chemistry, internal medicine, animal protection. The lectures will be followed by an online interactive practice with exercises or online visits to animal farms (e.g. zoo).
During the Summer School you will have to work on a science project and make a scientific poster. At the beginning of the programme you will get detailed instructions about the task by a professor. You will have 5 days for the research and completion.

Time zone:

Every day will start at 9:00 am Central European Summer Time (UTC+2). The first part of the day ends around 12:00 CEST.
The second half of the day is from 1:00 CEST to 3:00 CEST. This part of the programme can be flexible.
Please consider the time difference between Budapest and your location and let us know if the timing is not suitable for you.
