Course description

Learning how to use the microscope and histological specimens; the basics of light and electron microscopic histological procedures (histotechniques); the orientation in 2D histopreparations. The recognition of the basic tissues and their parts (cells and matrix) in the light microscopic histopreparations, as well as acquisition of knowledge about their structure and function; Recognition of the different staining methods and their importance.
