UNIVET Budapest is the best Hungarian University
Each year the Hungarian Educational Authority (part of the Ministry) issues a comprehensive higher institution ranking which evaluates universities through four main fields: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international relations. It uses 17 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons.
This year’s list of the best universities in Hungary is led (first place) by the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest in the field of agriculture. On the overall ranking list, we gained the second-best place.

Fruitful partnerships with Korean universities
The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest signed another bilateral memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chungnam National University and another will be signed in the beginning of January 2019 with Seoul Nation University.
Dr Tibor Bartha, the vice rector of international affairs, visited South Korea in late October and signed the memorandum of understanding that confirms the intention of the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest and Chungnam National University to establish a partnership and encourage cooperation in the field of research.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest and the Seoul Nation University will be signed in the beginning of January 2019 at Budapest. This MoU will enable UNIVET and Seoul Nation University to develop educational collaborations and establish a partnership in the field of research.
Transnational horse racing – Morocco first equestrian organization visited our university
The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest is proud to its strong link to the educational and equine organizations all around the world. In the frame of its good relationships, the SOREC’s director, Omar Skalli paid a visit to the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest Experimental farm and the Department and Clinic of Equine Medicine at Üllő.
SOREC was created in 2003 under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in Morocco. SOREC has become the main organization in the Moroccan equine sector. Its mission is to supervise the breeding and improvement of the horse race in national stallion farms.

Everything you wanted to know about calf diseases
We are pleased to announce that The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest has started its international postgraduate courses.
We offer postgraduate courses that support you in developing your career. It provides you with a specialised study programme and professional training whilst gaining an additional qualification.
The CALF DISEASES English Postgraduate Course of the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest (UNIVET Budapest) in cooperation with CEVA was successfully held in November 2018 with more than 100 participants. Many attendees came from abroad, among others from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Germany, France and Italy.
