Below we would like to share with you our latest and most important news and moments from the vibrant life of the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest (UNIVET Budapest).
The English version of the Alumni website has been launched
With the help of the new online platform, our registered Alumni members can stay up to date with the latest news, events of the university and even get discounts on the university’s services or our partners’ programmes and accommodation offers.
Our Alumni site offers help for our former students to share their job offers, practical trainings, internships to our current veterinary students. In addition, you can use the new site to find and contact your old fellow students.

III. International Job Fair was held at the university
The success of the event is shown by the growing number of participating companies, organizations: 20 Hungarian and 8 international exhibitors visited our university this year to introduce their work, talk about their current job offers and meet our students – their future employees in person.
Based on the feedback from the exhibitors, more and more students are looking forward to the UNIVET Job Fair every year, and not only graduates but also 3rd, 4th-year students are eager to find out about their future opportunities. In line with this, companies are offering internships, practical trainings and summer jobs to the benefit of the younger generation.

Time for celebration
It is overwhelming but also exciting time of the year for the graduates of our university. A new chapter starts for those who had worked hard for many years to finally call themselves veterinarians. This year 84 Hungarian and 106 international students received their diploma.

Dr Tamás Szent-Iványi was an infectious diseases specialist, he used his extensive international experience in education as well. His research covered a wide range of bacterial and viral diseases.
Dr Adorján Bartha was the most successful practical virologist in Hungary. He was the inventor of vaccines against Aujeszky’s disease of pigs and against infectious bovine rhinotracheitis caused by herpes virus.

Invitation: 24th Graz Conference in Budapest
The Graz Conference is a traditional European conference on medical and veterinary education which, this year, takes place between 16-18 of April (Thursday-Saturday) at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest. The conference focuses on the teaching of life skills in medical and veterinary education.
