International Summer School at the UNIVET Budapest
Do you know someone who is interested in veterinary science and s/he is considering becoming a veterinary doctor? If the answer is yes, let us invite him/her to take part in our unforgettable Summer School in the heart of Budapest!
Let us help him/her with a one-week programme to show them what university studies are like as a vet student and life as a vet!
The Summer School of the University of Veterinary Medicine is an intensive one-week program designed for high school students aged 16 to 18, who are interested in pursuing a career in veterinary and want to experience university life prior to applying.

Increasing Number of Foreign Applicants with Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship
Twice as many foreign students have applied to the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest in the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship programme as last year. This year nearly 120 students expressed their interests towards the programs of UNIVET Budapest, which shows that veterinary medicine is still one of the most attractive study programmes among foreign students. UNIVET Budapest received applications from 29 countries, from 5 different continents.
The selection procedure is still in process, but we can’t wait to welcome our newest students.
Study in Malaysia 2018 – Another Successful Education Fair
The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest with 13 other Hungarian higher education institutions participated in the FACON Education Fair in December. This expo was one of the most significant education fairs in Southeast Asia. Among the European exhibitors, Hungary had the largest number of universities in the international fair.

New Memorandum of Understanding between UNIVET Budapest and international higher education institutions bring new possibilities
The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest signed two bilateral agreements – Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) – in January and February. These MOUs confirms the intention of the institutes to establish a partnership and encourage cooperation in the field of research and education.

Be part of our history – To honour of the memory of Dr. Béla Plósz, the saviour of Hungarian horse breeding and the father of modern veterinary surgery, the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest will erect a statue to commemorate his invaluable work.

Starting a new semester brings new possibilities
Based on our recent statistics, a record number of students have started the new semester at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest. More than 600 Hungarian and 900 international students have started the spring semester and 118 international, and 74 Hungarian students passed their final exams with extremely high marks.
