Sándor Kotlán (1887 – 1967)

Professor of Parasitology and General Zoology.

As the founder of parasitology in Hungary, he was dealing with almost all fields of this science; his works include faunal, taxonomic and pathogenic studies as well as examinations discussing epidemiological particularities. His name is referred to in the descriptions of several new parasite species.

He was elected dean twice and was a Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
