{"id":1089,"date":"2016-11-17T18:45:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-17T17:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/univet.hu\/about-us\/libray\/services\/"},"modified":"2018-03-21T18:59:58","modified_gmt":"2018-03-21T17:59:58","slug":"services","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/univet.hu\/en\/about\/library\/services\/","title":{"rendered":"Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Basic services:<\/em><\/strong><\/p> <p>The Hutyra Ferenc Library is open to the public and provides the following services for everybody free of charge:<\/p> <ul> <li>local use of the library\u2019s collection<\/li> <li>local use of catalogues and other databases<\/li> <li>information on the library system and services provided in it.<\/li> <\/ul> <p>Information regarding the opening hours of the library, its services and fees may be found on the library homepage or in the reading room.<\/p> <p><em><strong>Document provision:<\/strong><\/em><\/p> <ul> <li>in-house use &#8211; printed and electronic documents (free)<\/li> <li>borrowing (only personally) Periodicals, old, rare books, manuals and lecture notes cannot be borrowed!<\/li> <li>copying and scanning of library documents and other documents: self-service or upon order<\/li> <li>making electronic copies and forwarding them via e-mail (limited service)<\/li> <li>using the group room for small groups<\/li> <li>interlibrary lending (books, copies of articles) from Hungarian and foreign libraries<\/li> <\/ul> <p><em><strong>Reference services:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0searching on your own or together with the librarians:<\/p> <ul> <li>information on the holdings of the library (from a card catalogue until 1986, from the OPAC of the library about materials acquired after 1986)<\/li> <li>referral services: information on the holdings, address, opening hours, services of other libraries<\/li> <\/ul> <p><em>Bibliographic sources:<\/em><\/p> <ul> <li>Bibliography of Hungarian Veterinary Literature (in printed form from 1971 to 1989; on CD-ROM and through the OPAC from 1990 on)<\/li> <li>providing special veterinary information<\/li> <\/ul> <p><em>International databases in the library:<\/em><\/p> <ul> <li>CAB Archives + CAB Abstracts: agricultural and veterinary literature from 1910 on<\/li> <li>FSTA: literature on food science and technology from 1990 on<\/li> <li>Zoological Record: zoological literature<\/li> <li>EISZ (Electronic Information Services): Web of Science, Science Direct, SpringerLink databases<\/li> <li>EBSCO databases and journals<\/li> <li>MATARKA: Hungarian Periodicals Table of Contents Database<\/li> <\/ul> <ul> <li>information on Hungarian legal regulations in force and EU directives (Eurlex)<\/li> <li>information on the standards of the veterinary field in force. The service is not full scale yet!<\/li> <li>thematic link collections<\/li> <\/ul> <p><em><strong>Services aiding publication and the assessment of scientific achievements:<\/strong><\/em><\/p> <ul> <li>methodological guidance to publication, compilation of bibliographic references, completion of bibliographic data,<\/li> <li>methodological guidance to thesis writing,<\/li> <li>information on the impact factors of journals,<\/li> <li>methodological guidance to the calculation of publication and impact values,<\/li> <li>preparation of lists of publications.<\/li> <\/ul> <p><em><strong>Marketing and user education:<\/strong><\/em><\/p> <ul> <li>homepage: newsletter, new books, news etc.<\/li> <li>newsletter Noctua (on the web or as an appendix of \u00c1llatorvosi Kamarai H\u00edrek)<\/li> <li>user education: courses in library informatics and individual training<\/li> <\/ul> <p><em><strong>Services aiding the researchers of the university history and the veterinary history:<\/strong><\/em><\/p> <ul> <li>historical digital library<\/li> <li>customer service in the archives<\/li> <li>permanent and temporary exhibitions in the Collection of Veterinary History, virtual museum<\/li> <li>the Hungarian Veterinary Pantheon<\/li> <\/ul> <p>Own computer also may be used in the library via the wireless network.
