She graduated from Eötvös Lóránd University as a biologist in 1989. The topic of her PhD dissertation was titled „Research of the developmental potency of pluripotent embryonic stem cells”, and she succesfully defended her thesis in 1996.<\/p>
Between 1989 and 1995 she worked in the Embriological laboratory of the Eötvös Lóránd University in Göd. Since 1996 she has been working in the Institute fo Animal Biotrechnology of the Agricultural Biotechnology Center in Hungary.<\/p>
She won many scholarships, for example ’Soros’ scholarship, ’OECD’ scholarship and ’Bolyai János’ scholarship and she participated in several research groups as a researcher or supervisor.<\/p>
Elen Gócza has published many articles in various hungarian and international journals and her election to be doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Science is now in progress.<\/p>
