{"id":206520,"date":"2026-01-05T19:00:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-05T18:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beta.univet.hu\/?page_id=193040"},"modified":"2026-04-29T22:21:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T20:21:35","slug":"subject-exemptions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/univet.hu\/en\/education\/students-secretariat\/subject-exemptions\/","title":{"rendered":"Subject exemptions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>SUBJECT EXEMPTIONS<\/strong><\/span><\/p> <p>Students may submit a request for subject exemption if they have previously completed a <strong data-start=\"314\" data-end=\"341\">university-level course<\/strong> whose content overlaps with the corresponding UVMB subject by <strong data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"420\">at least 75%<\/strong>.<\/p> <p data-start=\"423\" data-end=\"488\">All exemption requests are evaluated <strong data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"487\">on a case-by-case basis<\/strong>.<\/p> <p data-start=\"558\" data-end=\"698\">Repeated submissions, incomplete applications, or submissions containing false or misleading information will be <strong data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"697\">automatically rejected<\/strong>.<\/p> <p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><br \/> <span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">THE SUBJECT EXEMPTION PROCESS<\/span><\/strong><\/p> <p data-start=\"735\" data-end=\"879\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Please ensure that you <strong data-start=\"758\" data-end=\"798\">strictly follow the guidelines below<\/strong>. Requests that do not comply with these requirements will <strong data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"878\">not be considered<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p> <p data-start=\"735\" data-end=\"879\"><a href=\"https:\/\/univet.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Subject-exemption-v2-student.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Here is the flowchart of the exemption process.<\/a><\/p> <p><strong>STEP 1: Rules&amp;regulations<\/strong><br \/> Please ensure that you <strong data-start=\"138\" data-end=\"197\">carefully review and fully understand the <a href=\"https:\/\/univet.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/syllabus-2022-SAMPLE-javitott.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UVMB syllabus<\/a><\/strong> before submitting a subject exemption request.<\/p> <p data-start=\"246\" data-end=\"418\">For an exemption to be granted, the corresponding coursework must demonstrate <strong data-start=\"324\" data-end=\"356\">at least 75% content overlap<\/strong>. In addition, the following elements must also be comparable:<\/p> <ul> <li data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"443\">Total contact hours<\/li> <li data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"443\">Laboratory structure and content<\/li> <li data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"531\">Examination format and assessment requirements<\/li> <li data-start=\"534\" data-end=\"576\"><strong data-start=\"534\" data-end=\"552\">EAEVE-specific<\/strong> academic expectations<\/li> <\/ul> <p data-start=\"578\" data-end=\"698\">We kindly ask that exemption requests be submitted <strong data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"697\">only if you are confident that all of the above criteria are met<\/strong>.<\/p> <p data-start=\"578\" data-end=\"698\"><strong data-start=\"82\" data-end=\"107\">Submission deadlines:<\/strong> 10 September and 10 February.<\/p> <p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\" data-start=\"578\" data-end=\"698\"><em>Exemption requests submitted after a deadline will be evaluated in the subsequent review period for the following semester.<\/em><br data-start=\"265\" data-end=\"268\" \/><em>For example, a request submitted on 11 September will be treated as an early submission for the 10 February deadline.<\/em><\/p> <p data-start=\"578\" data-end=\"698\">Exemption requests are evalueted on a <strong>case-by-case<\/strong> basis.<\/p> <p>&nbsp;<\/p> <p><strong>STEP 2: Admission<\/strong><\/p> <ul> <li data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"977\">Only requests submitted by <strong data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"957\">admitted students<\/strong> will be considered.<\/li> <li data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1120\">Transfer students from veterinary institutes may submit subject exemption requests <strong data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1119\">only if they have been explicitly instructed to do so by the Student Secretariat<\/strong>.<\/li> <\/ul> <p>&nbsp;<\/p> <p><strong>STEP 3: Course Documentation<br \/> <\/strong><\/p> <p data-start=\"1161\" data-end=\"1341\">Please submit the following documents to the Admissions Office at <strong data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1250\"><a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1229\" data-end=\"1248\"><a class=\"decrypt\" rel=\"jogpAwfuivohbsz\/dpn\" href=\"javascript:void(0);\">[Click to see email]<\/a><\/a><\/strong><br data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1253\" \/><span style=\"color: #999999;\">(Transfer students from veterinary institutes should submit their documents as advised by the Student Secretariat.)<\/span><\/p> <p data-start=\"1343\" data-end=\"1423\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">All documents <strong data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1377\">must be original<\/strong> (stamped and signed) <strong data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1422\">or notarized copies<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p> <p data-start=\"1425\" data-end=\"1444\">Required documents:<\/p> <ul> <li><strong data-start=\"1447\" data-end=\"1459\">Syllabus<\/strong> of the completed training program (mandatory) \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/univet.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/syllabus-2022-SAMPLE-javitott.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EXAMPLE<\/a><\/li> <li><strong>Official transcript<\/strong> of records (mandatory)\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/univet.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Kreditigazolas-EN2-anonym.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EXAMPLE<\/a><\/li> <li><strong data-start=\"1561\" data-end=\"1580\">Weekly schedule<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"1601\">each subject<\/strong> for which an exemption is requested (mandatory)\u00a0 \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/univet.hu\/en\/education\/courses\/anatomy-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EXAMPLE\u00a0<\/a><\/li> <li><strong data-start=\"1654\" data-end=\"1684\">Diploma\/Degree certificate<\/strong> (optional, if the program has been completed)<\/li> <\/ul> <p><strong>Deadline<\/strong>: 10th of September and 10th of February. <em>Exemption requests submitted after a deadline will be evaluated in the subsequent review period for the following semester.<\/em><\/p> <p><strong>STEP 4: Document Verification, preevaluation<\/strong><br \/> The Admissions Office will review the submitted documents and confirm whether they are sufficient.<br data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"1902\" \/>If necessary, you will be instructed to provide missing documentation or advised to proceed to the next step.<\/p> <p>&nbsp;<\/p> <p><strong>STEP 5: REQUESTING A CODE<\/strong><\/p> <p data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2154\">You will receive an email listing the subjects eligible for exemption request based on preliminary evaluation.<br \/> Subjects not included on the list are, based on the preliminary evaluation, <strong data-start=\"439\" data-end=\"468\">definitively not eligible<\/strong> for exemption; therefore, exemption requests cannot be submitted for them. For any related inquiries, please contact the Admissions Office at <strong data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1250\"><a class=\"decorated-link cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1229\" data-end=\"1248\"><a class=\"decrypt\" rel=\"jogpAwfuivohbsz\/dpn\" href=\"javascript:void(0);\">[Click to see email]<\/a><\/a><\/strong><\/p> <p data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2154\">The email will also contain <em>a link<\/em> through which you can generate a unique code for each of your subject exemption requests. <a href=\"https:\/\/univet.hu\/en\/education\/students-secretariat\/subject-exemptions\/faq-about-requests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAQ for this step.<\/a><\/p> <p data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2154\"><strong>STEP 6: SUBMITTING A SUBJECT EXEMPTION REQUEST<\/strong><\/p> <p data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2154\">You will recieve the <strong>one-time use<\/strong> code and the corresponding link for the subject exemption request to your official email address submitted during the admission process.<\/p> <p data-start=\"2156\" data-end=\"2165\">Using the codes you may submit the corresponding subject exemption request through the links. You will recieve a confirmation email after submitting the submission.<\/p> <p data-start=\"2156\" data-end=\"2165\"><strong>Submission of a request does not guarantee approval<\/strong>; each case will be reviewed by the relevant department.<\/p> <p data-start=\"2156\" data-end=\"2165\"><a href=\"https:\/\/univet.hu\/en\/education\/students-secretariat\/subject-exemptions\/faq-about-requests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAQ for the subject exmption requests is here.<\/a><\/p> <p>&nbsp;<\/p> <p><strong>STEP 7: Processing of Requests<br \/> <\/strong>Submitted requests will go through several administrative review stages before being forwarded to the <strong data-start=\"2452\" data-end=\"2484\">relevant academic department<\/strong> for a final decision.<\/p> <p>&nbsp;<\/p> <p><strong>STEP 8: Notification of Decision<br \/> <\/strong>Official decisions will be issued <strong data-start=\"3119\" data-end=\"3175\">only after all submitted requests of the student have been reviewed<\/strong>.<\/p> <p data-start=\"3222\" data-end=\"3305\">Decision letters will be sent to the student\u2019s <strong data-start=\"3269\" data-end=\"3304\">registered email address<\/strong>.<\/p> <p>&nbsp;<\/p> <p><strong>STEP 9: APPEAL<\/strong><br \/> If you disagree with the decision, you may contact the <strong data-start=\"3387\" data-end=\"3419\">relevant academic department after enrollment<\/strong>.<\/p> <p data-start=\"3422\" data-end=\"3561\">Resubmission may be permitted <strong data-start=\"3452\" data-end=\"3463\">only if<\/strong> the request can be supported with <strong data-start=\"3498\" data-end=\"3560\">substantially new or significantly different documentation<\/strong>.<\/p> <p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SUBJECT EXEMPTIONS Students may submit a request for subject exemption if they have previously completed a university-level course whose content overlaps with the corresponding UVMB subject by at least 75%.
