They are suitable for the demonstrations of viral pathogens of several animal species (dogs, cats, pigs, poultry, horses, bovines, bees etc.). At request, we can extend our investigations on pathogens that are not yet readily demonstrated at our department.<\/li> <li>The result of the serological investigations is provided in a maximum of five days in case of the ELISA tests, and in two weeks in case of virus neutralizations.<\/li> <\/ul> <h3>Complementary tests<\/h3> <ul> <li>Serology<\/li> <li>Virus neutralization test:<\/li> <li>Bovine adenovirus, IBR, BVD, PI 3, RS, Equine herpesvirus (EHV 1-4), EHV 2, equine arteritis:<\/li> <\/ul> <h3>Positive\/negative test titration<\/h3> <ul> <li>FIP<\/li> <li>ELISA<\/li> <li>IBR, Aujeszky\u2019s disease, PRRS, BVD, TRT<\/li> <li>Enzyme level determination<\/li> <li>BNP (Brain natriuretic peptide), ANP (Atrial natriuretic peptide), Endothelin, Big-Endothelin<\/li> <li>Electron microscopy<\/li> <\/ul> <p>Our laboratory is equipped with modern electron microscopes, such as JEOL JEM-1011 and JEOL JSM-35, that provide an adequate background for the ultrastructural investigation of the viral, bacterial and parasitic pathogens and the changes induced by them in the affected cells.<\/p> <ul> <li>Transmission EM<\/li> <li>Positive contrast<\/li> <li>Negative contrast<\/li> <li>Scanning EM<\/li> <li>Histopathology<\/li> <\/ul> <p>Thanks to the recent investments in modern equipments, our laboratory can provide elaborate histopathological diagnoses in only two days.
