The focus of his PhD research is the human\u2013animal\u2013environment system, with particular attention to the investigation, early detection, and prediction of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) and other zoonotic pathogens. His professional background includes poultry health, epidemiology, and the assessment of disease prevention and control measures (biosecurity). His work is characterized by a One Health approach, risk-based decision support, and the integration of innovative sensor and remote-sensing technologies.<\/p> <p style=\"text-align: justify\">In connection with his PhD work, he is involved in the development of drone-based data-collection protocols and sampling strategies.
