Dear colleagues, Dear students,<\/p>
It has become a tradition at our university to commemorate the 1956 Revolution<\/strong> with a candlelight memorial. This year, starting in front of the Zimmermann \u00c1goston lecture hall, we march to the memorial plaque of Zolt\u00e1n Tatay with candlelight. Zolt\u00e1n Tatay was a third-year, excellent veterinary student who was fatally shot on October 24, 1956, in his white cloak, while caring for wounded people.<\/p> I kindly ask you to join the memorial with a candle and pay our respects to the heroes of the 1956 Revolution and to Zolt\u00e1n Tatay.<\/p> In collaboration with the World Organization of Hungarian Veterinarians, we award the Tatay Zolt\u00e1n Veterinary Student Award to a young veterinarian who has earned recognition through their work in the World Organization’s Student Section and by enhancing the reputation of our Alma Mater with a commemorative plaque.<\/p> The commemoration will take place on the 27th of October 2025 at 7 p.m., starting in front of the Zimmermann \u00c1goston lecture hall.<\/strong><\/p> <\/p> Dr. P\u00e9ter S\u00f3tonyi<\/p> rector<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The commemoration will take place on the 27th of October 2025 at 7 p.m., starting in front of the Zimmermann \u00c1goston lecture hall.
