Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases<\/a>, received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary. Dr. Fodor was honoured with the award by Zoltán Balog, Minister of Human Resources within a ceremony at the Palace of Arts.
The distinction recognizes Dr. László Fodor for more than three decades of outstanding faculty research work in the field of veterinary medicine, which covers a period of 16 years as head of department, 7 years as international vice-rector and vice-dean, as well as 8 years’ excellent work as Dean.<\/p> <\/p>

It’s not always easy to decide which profession is best for us when we are young. But this summer the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest showed that becoming a veterinarian can be a good choice. With a one-week program, we showed for a bunch of young titans what university studies are like as a vet student and life as a vet. We are sure by the end of the summer school our guests will have a better understanding of what vets do.
