With a single donation, you can help save up to three lives \u2013 a high-impact action with immediate societal value.<\/p> <p data-start=\"447\" data-end=\"629\"><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Blood donation is strictly regulated: only healthy individuals are allowed to donate, ensuring the safety of both donors and recipients. Please only attend if you are in good health.<\/span><\/em><\/p> <p data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"738\"><strong data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"644\">Location:<\/strong> Student Centre (Building \u201cP\u201d)<br data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"677\" \/><strong data-start=\"677\" data-end=\"686\">Date:<\/strong> Wednesday, 8 April 2026<br data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"713\" \/><strong data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"722\">Time:<\/strong> 10:00 \u2013 15:00<\/p> <p data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"814\"><strong><em data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"752\">Important:<\/em> During the event, dogs are not allowed to enter the building.<\/strong><\/p> <hr data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"819\" \/> <h3 data-section-id=\"apt58f\" data-start=\"821\" data-end=\"869\"><strong data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"869\">Part of a national university initiative<\/strong><\/h3> <p data-start=\"871\" data-end=\"1063\">This event is part of the <strong data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"954\">Hungarian Higher Education Blood Donation Competition<\/strong>, an annual nationwide initiative organised by the Hungarian Red Cross and the National Blood Supply Service.<\/p> <p data-start=\"1065\" data-end=\"1243\">Universities compete based on how many donors they mobilise relative to their student population. The most active institution receives the <strong data-start=\"1204\" data-end=\"1243\">\u201cCourage Award for Blood Donation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p> <p data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1498\">The campaign period <strong data-start=\"1265\" data-end=\"1293\">(16 March \u2013 16 May 2026)<\/strong> is a key activation window where universities can significantly improve their ranking. The goal is not only competition, but also to make blood donation a <strong data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1497\">visible, community-driven student experience<\/strong>.<\/p> <p data-start=\"1500\" data-end=\"1613\">Important: donations made anywhere in Hungary can be counted for the university if you indicate your affiliation.<\/p> <hr data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1618\" \/> <h3 data-section-id=\"1mjsj5k\" data-start=\"1620\" data-end=\"1648\"><strong data-start=\"1624\" data-end=\"1648\">Eligibility criteria<\/strong><\/h3> <p data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1694\">You can participate as a blood donor if you:<\/p> <ul data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1985\"> <li data-section-id=\"5kybdh\" data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1732\"> <p data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1732\">are in good health and feel well<\/p> <\/li> <li data-section-id=\"1qozt9f\" data-start=\"1733\" data-end=\"1771\"> <p data-start=\"1735\" data-end=\"1771\">are between 18 and 65 years of age<\/p> <\/li> <li data-section-id=\"1whhwmn\" data-start=\"1772\" data-end=\"1796\"> <p data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1796\">weigh at least 50 kg<\/p> <\/li> <li data-section-id=\"vj67af\" data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"1838\"> <p data-start=\"1799\" data-end=\"1838\">have a valid EU health insurance card<\/p> <\/li> <li data-section-id=\"xwa516\" data-start=\"1839\" data-end=\"1911\"> <p data-start=\"1841\" data-end=\"1911\">bring your ID (passport or identity card) and Hungarian address card<\/p> <\/li> <li data-section-id=\"18yf41i\" data-start=\"1912\" data-end=\"1985\"> <p data-start=\"1914\" data-end=\"1985\">have had any tattoos or piercings at least 6 months prior to donation<\/p> <\/li> <\/ul> <p data-start=\"1987\" data-end=\"2080\"><strong>Students (full-time, part-time), as well as university staff, are all welcome to participate.<\/strong><\/p> <hr data-start=\"2082\" data-end=\"2085\" \/> <h3 data-section-id=\"1jxkmum\" data-start=\"2087\" data-end=\"2111\"><strong data-start=\"2091\" data-end=\"2111\">Process overview<\/strong><\/h3> <p data-start=\"2113\" data-end=\"2377\">All donors undergo a short medical screening before donation. Final eligibility is determined by the attending physician on-site. If you are unsure about your eligibility (e.g. medication, previous conditions), you can consult with the doctor during the screening.<\/p> <hr data-start=\"2379\" data-end=\"2382\" \/> <h3 data-section-id=\"hq43hx\" data-start=\"2384\" data-end=\"2406\"><strong data-start=\"2388\" data-end=\"2406\">Why it matters<\/strong><\/h3> <p data-start=\"2408\" data-end=\"2559\">Blood cannot be manufactured \u2013 it can only come from donors.
