Participants discussed current challenges and developments in the fields of food safety and the food economy.<\/p> <p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The event was opened by Rector Prof. Dr. P\u00e9ter S\u00f3tonyi, who reaffirmed the University\u2019s commitment to advancing scientific research and professional dialogue in the field of food safety. Hosting the meeting also reflects the recognition of the scientific expertise and professional standing that the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest has built over decades through its contributions to food safety research and the education of future professionals.<\/p> <p>The consultation was chaired by Dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 B\u00faza, State Secretary responsible for the food
