Organised for the sixth time this year, the Danube Regatta is the most significant sports and cultural festival for universities that brings together people with a passion for sports and at the Danube. At the dragon boat competition, the University of Veterinary Medicine managed to get the second place.<\/strong><\/p>

The Danube Regatta is the biggest inter-university sports event in Hungary since 2013. The main events are the rowing and dragon boat races between participating universities on the most spectacular stretch of the Danube in Budapest, from the Parliament and the Chain Bridge to the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (the Buda-side embankment between Szabadsag Bridge and Petofi Bridge).<\/p>

The rowing competition was even more exciting in 2018, as on the occasion of the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group, professional teams from Czechia (University of Pardubice) and Poland (Jagiellonian University) could test their strength against their Hungarian counterparts.<\/p>

It’s not always easy to decide which profession is best for us when we are young. But this summer the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest showed that becoming a veterinarian can be a good choice. With a one-week program, we showed for a bunch of young titans what university studies are like as a vet student and life as a vet. We are sure by the end of the summer school our guests will have a better understanding of what vets do.
