The aim of the cooperation agreement, signed by P\u00e9ter S\u00f3tonyi, the Rector of the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest, P\u00e9ter Ov\u00e1di, the Ministerial Commissioner for the Renewal and Implementation of the National Animal Protection Program at the Ministry of Agriculture, and Norbert Andr\u00e1s Czibik, the Director-General of the Directorate-General for Social Affairs and Child Protection, is to promote animal welfare awareness among children in child protection institutions and broaden their knowledge of responsible pet ownership. P\u00e9ter S\u00f3tonyi announced that due to the high level of interest in 2021, the University will once again announce the “Best Animal-Friendly Kindergarten” competition for 2022, expanding it this time to include elementary school category as well.<\/p>
