The primary objective of the course is to introduce the applications of in vitro<\/em> cell lines in preclinical experiments and their associated limitations. In animal experiments, a fundamental requirement is to comply with the 3R rule system (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement), which requires researchers to use in vitro<\/em> methods instead of in vivo<\/em> experiments whenever possible. The use of in vitro<\/em> cell cultures offers this opportunity. The course provides students with a theoretical foundation for understanding the basic conditions required for maintaining and utilizing cell cultures. In addition to the limitations of in vivo<\/em> methods, the course material also covers the presentation of new innovative systems that can be useful for students during clinical research.<\/p>

The course is held in English. Due to the course’s structure, participation in the classes is recommended to complete the subject.<\/p>

Students give an account of their knowledge in a written tests and exam.<\/p>
