In animal experiments, a fundamental requirement is to comply with the 3R rule system (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement), which requires researchers to use in vitro methods instead of in vivo experiments whenever possible. The use of in vitro cell cultures offers this opportunity. The course provides students with a theoretical foundation for understanding the basic conditions required for maintaining and utilizing cell cultures. In addition to the limitations of in vivo methods, the course material also covers the presentation of new innovative systems that can be useful for students during clinical research.

The course is held in English.
