The aim of the course is for students to get a comprehensive picture of the biological and physiological mechanisms of stress, their short- and long-term consequences, and the relationship between stress and health. During the course, students learn about the nervous system, endocrine and immunological background of stress, and the pathophysiological effects of chronic stress. They can learn about the latest research findings and the physiology of typical diseases associated with long-term chronic stress.<\/p>

The course is held in English. Due to the course’s structure, participation in the classes is recommended to complete the subject.<\/p>

Students demonstrate their knowledge through written tests and exams.<\/p>

Prequisite: Veterinary physiology I.<\/strong><\/p>
