Introduction:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

I was born on October 18, 1960 in Pilisv\u00f6r\u00f6sv\u00e1r. I started my studies at the University of Veterinary Medicine in 1978, where I graduated in 1983 with a “summa cum laude” qualification. After obtaining my doctorate in veterinary medicine, I also obtained a diploma in “applied zoology” at ELTE as part of the postgraduate training. I started my work as a veterinarian in 1983 at the Veterinary Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, then from 1999 I continued at the Department of Pathology and Forensic Veterinary Medicine of the SZIE Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, where, in addition to my teaching, research and diagnostic work, I also taught “Fish Pathology” and several optional subjects. I provided it in Hungarian and English. In 1994, I obtained a candidate’s (CSc – later PhD) degree, and in 2000 I obtained my habilitation. In 2017, I joined the Department of Exotic Animals and Wildlife Health, which leads the fish diagnostics department, and I continue to teach my subjects in Hungarian, English and German.<\/p>

From 2020, based on my internationally outstanding research results in the field of fish pathology, I was recognized as a de facto Diplomate member of the “European College of Aquatic Animal Health” (ECAAH).<\/p>

In the graduate training, I deal with the continuous development of the teaching of subjects related to fish health protection (graduate and optional). From 1989, I also taught as an invited specialist at foreign universities, such as Dresden, Munich (LMU), Hanover (Ti-HO) in Germany, Vienna in Austria, Ben-Gurion in Israel, but I also taught in Iran and Uzbekistan. In addition to my mother tongue, I actively use English, German and Russian in my teaching and research work.<\/p>

In the course of my work so far, I have published about 140 professional publications, several professional books or book chapters published at the domestic and international level. I received awards and honors in recognition of my publishing and educational activities.<\/p>
