More details can be found by clicking on the publisher names on the\u00a0EISZ website.<\/p> <p data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"1141\">The\u00a0Open Access publishing opportunity\u00a0is part of the\u00a0university\u2019s EISZ journal package agreements. It applies only to articles\u00a0accepted or published in 2025\u00a0until the allocated quota is exhausted.<\/p> <hr data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"1146\" \/> <h3 data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1205\">Journals with Questionable Publishing Practices<\/h3> <p data-start=\"1206\" data-end=\"1277\">(<em data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1276\">Source: MTMT website \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtmt.hu\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-start=\"1231\" data-end=\"1275\">https:\/\/www.mtmt.hu\/<\/a><\/em>)<\/p> <p data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1568\">In April 2023, the\u00a0Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) established a committee\u00a0to examine\u00a0predatory publishing practices. During a meeting on\u00a0December 13, 2023, the committee reviewed\u00a0feedback from researchers\u00a0and adopted\u00a0recommendations\u00a0to address emerging concerns.<\/p> <p data-start=\"1570\" data-end=\"1655\">To implement these recommendations, the\u00a0MTMT Department\u00a0follows this procedure:<\/p> <ul data-start=\"1657\" data-end=\"2307\"> <li data-start=\"1657\" data-end=\"1851\">Individual researcher reports\u00a0on questionable journals are forwarded for evaluation to the\u00a0secretary of the scientific section, who ensures their review by the\u00a0section president.<\/li> <li data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"2081\">Based on the\u00a0scientific section\u2019s recommendation, considering\u00a0library and academic standards, the\u00a0MTMT Department may remove\u00a0specific journals from the \u201cList of Journals with Questionable Practices \u2013 2024 Edition.\u201d<\/li> <li data-start=\"2082\" data-end=\"2307\">The final\u00a02024 list was established on January 1, 2024, and remains effective. Mid-year changes are only allowed\u00a0positively\u00a0(i.e., journals may be removed from the list, but new ones cannot be added).<\/li> <\/ul> <h4 data-start=\"2309\" data-end=\"2350\">Committee Decision Highlights:<\/h4> <ul data-start=\"2351\" data-end=\"2569\"> <li data-start=\"2351\" data-end=\"2479\">Conference proceedings, book series, and yearbooks in the Norwegian Register will not be flagged as questionable.<\/li> <li data-start=\"2480\" data-end=\"2569\">Journals that have ceased publication will also be removed from the flagged list.<\/li> <\/ul> <h3 data-start=\"2571\" data-end=\"2595\">Current Lists:<\/h3> <ul data-start=\"2596\" data-end=\"2649\"> <li data-start=\"2596\" data-end=\"2622\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtmt.hu\/kifogasolhato_folyoiratok_2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Complete 2024 List<\/a><\/li> <li data-start=\"2623\" data-end=\"2649\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtmt.hu\/kifogasolhato_folyoiratok_2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Complete 2025 List<\/a><\/li> <\/ul> <hr data-start=\"2651\" data-end=\"2654\" \/> <h3 data-start=\"2656\" data-end=\"2703\">Warning! Predatory\/Parasitic Journals<\/h3> <p data-start=\"2705\" data-end=\"2886\">Some publishers take advantage of the growing demand for publications and\u00a0the pressure to publish\u00a0by offering\u00a0open-access journals\u00a0that exist primarily for financial gain.<\/p> <p data-start=\"2888\" data-end=\"3145\">These journals\u00a0do not follow proper academic publishing standards\u00a0and lack or have\u00a0inadequate peer review, editorial oversight, and quality control.
