Unfortunately, along with the rise of open access publishing, an increasing number of journals have emerged that engage in questionable publishing practices.\u00a0The\u00a0Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA)<\/strong> established a committee in the spring of 2023 to protect the scientific community and identify inappropriate practices<\/span>.<\/p>

As a result of the committee\u2019s work, the list for the year 2026<\/strong> has been compiled and is available at: https:\/\/www.mtmt.hu\/objectionable_journals<\/a><\/p>

Please note that the list is updated annually. Therefore, a previously considered acceptable journal may appear on the objectionable list in a later year. We kindly ask our researchers and lecturers to always consult the latest version<\/strong> of the list before making publication decisions.<\/p>
