He established modern animal surgery in the country and developed several new surgical procedures. With the introduction of asepsis, narcosis, and anaesthesia he opened the way for operations on the chest and abdominal organs. His surgery textbooks were the first ones on the subject in Hungarian veterinary literature. His horse therapies gained him national and international fame since his name had a high reputation on all stud farms and horse sports circles of Europe.<\/p>
