Dr. Dóra Kovács was born in Szeged, however she has conducted her high school studies in Budapest. She graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest in 2018 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. In the same year, she has started her PhD studies at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the University. Since then, she has also been working in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry. Her research topic is based on the search for natural antibiotic alternatives; she mostly works with porcine intestinal epithelial cells and bacterial strains isolated from pigs. Currently she is the supervisor or co-supervisor of 3 Students’ Research Circle students and is participating in several research projects conducted at the Department.
