Introduction
Dr. András Marosi obtained his veterinary degree in 2014 from the University of Veterinary Medicine (formerly known as the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Szent István University). Starting from the fall of the same year, he was employed at the Virology Research Group of the Department of Epidemiology and Microbiology. In 2015, he gained experience at the Institute of Animal and Plant Health in Weybridge, England. In 2020, he defended his PhD thesis (“Investigation of the anti-rabies effect of antiviral and anti-inflammatory agents in cell culture and mouse model”). Until 2026, he was the supervisor of 17 theses or TDK students, one students won the 3rd prize at the Scientific Student Association Conference.

innovative nanoformulation of viral vaccines
study of viral interference in antiviral therapy
evaluation of the efficacy of antiviral and immunomodulatory agents against RNA viruses
investigation of zoonotic and vector-borne viruses
Microbiological laboratory methods: virus isolation in cell culture, conventional and real-time PCR, sequencing and phylogenetic analysis, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, virus neutralization, ELISA, animal experiments
