Course description
The subject of veterinary immunology summarizes basic immunology and important veterinary aspects.
Lectures discuss the innate and adaptive immune system in mammals and other animals in detail after a general introduction.
Students can learn during practical lessons about immune prophylaxis, autoimmune diseases and various deficiencies or malfunctions of the immune system, which are essential in veterinary practice.
The laboratory practices introduce the commonly used, mainly in vitro diagnostic procedures and the evaluation of the obtained results.
