What is it about?

The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest boasts a rich history as one of Europe’s oldest veterinary training institutions. Steeped in centuries-old traditions and preserving the legacy of our ancestors, our fundamental principles have remained steadfast since our establishment in 1787. Our ongoing mission is to educate veterinarians capable of excelling in all facets of the veterinary profession.

Our veterinary training programs in Hungary are conducted in three languages. In addition to the Hungarian program, we offer English and German programs that cater to approximately 1100 international students hailing from nearly 50 countries worldwide. While many other Hungarian educational institutions strive to attain global recognition, our esteemed institution, accredited by EAEVE since 1995, consistently holds a prominent position in the rankings of European universities.

Central to our mission is the commitment to provide students and recent alumni with opportunities to bolster their career development. This is achieved through fostering self-awareness, imparting insights into the professional world, honing job search and decision-making skills.
