During his program in Hungary, Seán Ó Fearghaíl, the President of the Lower House of the Irish Parliament, visited the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest on November 24th.

150 years ago, Béla Tormay founded the country’s first independent Animal Breeding Department. The establishment of the department marked the beginning of organized animal breeding in Hungary and laid the foundations for domestic livestock breeding guidelines.
