The national round of the MT180 (My Thesis in 180 Seconds/ Ma thèse en 180 secondes) competition was held for the eighth time this year, jointly organized by the French Institute of Hungary and Eötvös Loránd University. The audience prize was awarded to our Francophone PhD candidate, Theodora Bernitsa, who captivated listeners with her presentation
The significance of this professional visit lies in strengthening the University’s collaboration with Purdue University, establishing new foundations for partnership with the University of Illinois, and providing students with direct experience of the international research environment.
For the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest, it is of particular importance that its faculty members and experts play such a prominent role in international standard-setting, further enhancing the institution’s scientific and professional recognition.
He has discovered eight tick species new to science: one in Hungary, one in Greece, three in Vietnam, and three in Japan.

In my 11th semester, Dr. Miklós Süth, head of the Institute and then Rector’s Chief Advisor, told me about a highly exciting PhD topic – how to integrate drones into veterinary medicine – and asked if I’d like to work on it.
At the two graduation and doctoral inauguration ceremonies held on February 27 at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest, 90 Hungarian and 112 English-program veterinary graduates received their diplomas.
