Summary:
The Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP) is Hungary’s first higher education-level startup program, the main goal of which is to acquaint Hungarian students with the innovation ecosystem, modern entrepreneurial knowledge and the world of startups, all through a newly developed e-learning platform used by all joining universities. HSUP is a two-semester e-learning course, the first semester of which focuses on innovative thinking and the startup world, while the second semester allows students to acquire practical knowledge of building an innovative business from an idea. At the end of the first semester, in addition to passing the exam, students submit a onepager about their business idea, on which they can work during the second semester with the approval of their university and with a scholarship from the National Research, Development and Innovation Office of Hungary. The subject of this particular project is the selection of the winning business ideas of the program and the implementation of the scholarship support element at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest including supporting the progress of student teams of the university and coordinating their appropriate use of scholarships.
