Project ID: 2018-2.1.10-TÉT-MC-2018-00011
Total budget: 1.359.000 HUF
Project manager: Dr. András Horváth, PhD, university assistant professor
Duration:
from 1st May 2019. to 30th April 2021.
Summary:
As a consequence of global warming, heat stress is of outstanding importance in the reproductive biology of farm animals. The negative effect of heat stress on the fertility of dairy cattle is known in many forms. This is also important for sheep, as they are highly dependent on the grazing conditions of dry and semi-arid areas and the high summer temperatures.
In the project, the researchers want to investigate the effect of heat stress on the reproductive biological parameters of INRA180 type rams.
The project is a unique approach to the ability of rams to adapt to the extreme Moroccan weather conditions.
