Introduction
My name is Julianna Hizsnyai, I was born in 2000 in Budapest. I completed my secondary education at Kempelen Farkas Secondary School, and I am currently pursuing a BSc degree in Biochemical Engineering at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, specializing in biotechnology, where I am expected to graduate in July 2025.
My thesis primarily focuses on examining the cutinase enzyme activity of Thermobifida strains, with a particular emphasis on the biodegradation of PLA-based films and the development of an effective starter culture. I completed my professional internship at the Department of Radiation Biology and Radiation Health of the National Centre for Public Health and Pharmacy Center, where I contributed to the environmental radiological assessment of the Anna Street site research facility.
