The Clinic of Small Animal Surgery and Ophthalmology of of the University of Veterinary Mediciney is located in the Central Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary University along with companion units, such as The Clinic of Internal Medicine and The Clinic of Obstetrics.
The Clinic of Small Animal Surgery offers both basic and highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including:
- orthopedic surgery
- arthroscopy
- spinal surgery
- soft tissue surgery
- skin and reconstructive surgery
- abdominal and thoracic surgery
- oncological surgery
- laparo- and thoracoscopy
- digital radiography
- computer tomography (CT)
A highly specialized team of anesthesiologists, residents and students provide state of the art care for our surgical patients. We offer specialized consultation hours for the ophthalmological, dental, orthopedic and neurological patients.
CT and digital X-ray examinations are available at the Radiology Unit on workdays 9 AM to 3 PM. Patients requiring further treatment, can be admitted to the hospital of the surgery clinic.

The Clinic of Small Animal Surgery is open 8 AM to 8 PM. The night duty of the Central Small Animal Clinic provides emergency care for patients with acute life-threatening conditions. During the night, the Clinic is not available on the phone.
