Course description

The course takes place in an e-learning format; the study materials are available within the Moodle system, and the completion of the course is possible there.

Completing this course will help you understand the basics of communication theory and biocommunication, furthermore, you will hear about most of the theories about the appearance of speech, and how human brains understand and process audible information. With this knowledge, we will discuss some “practical ideas” about the normal process of communication, hopefully this part will be useful for you later.

This course details the basics of communication theory.:

  1. Appearance and evolution of communication in nature; the anthropology of human communication
  2. Speaking, language and their neural background
  3. Different communication techniques

Prequisite: Anathomy 1, Physiology 1

1. Introduction, definition of communication, models, types, problems during communication.
2. Communication in biology (biosemiotics), evolution of communication, game theory, intra- and interspecific communication.
3. The appearance and evolution of language,the neural basics of speaking and language learning.
4. Communication techniques (with debate).
5. Communication techniques, report with debate.
