Timing of the Academic Year 2021/22 (updated on 2nd August 2021)

 

 

Winter-term 2021/22

  • Registration / Orientation for the 1st international, English-language class: on Tuesday, 7th September 2021, 12.00 (at noon) on campus in person.
  • Registration to higher semesters: from 8th September (Wednesday) till 23rd September (Thursday) via email ([Click to see email]). After 23rd September you can register with a surcharge of EUR 100/week only, but latest by 30th September (Thursday);
  • Registration for the inactive status by 23rd September (Thursday) – and later it is not possible, not even with late fee.

Please note (1): Indicated deadlines are NOT for starting payments, NOT for the arrival of your tuition fee at the bank – but for the registration at the Student’s Secretariat at campus.

Please note (2): Both registering in Neptun and with the registration sheet at the Students’ secretariat in person or via email do count as registration (regarding tuition fee refund) but both administrative steps are required prior to the official semester start!

Please note (3): without being registered you are not entitled to attend classes and/or practicals. More than four weeks of absence (30%) in a term results in an automatic exclusion from the semester.

  • Deadline for withdrawal with (partial) tuition-refund: 30th September 2021.

 

Students other than Freshmen are asked to send the registration form, the payment certificate (downloaded from Neptun), a copy of the residence permit / registration card issued by the Immigration Office by email.  The study record book (“black book”) can be submitted in person or dropped to our letter box.

Students entering the 9th curricular semester have to present in addition to the above their registration form for the thesis (so-called: Thesis announcement form).

 

  • Opening ceremony of Academic Year 235: 10th September 2021, Friday, 10AM
  • Start of teaching: 13th September 2021 (Monday)
  • Duration of teaching: 13th September – 17th December 2021
  • Freshmen’s programs: 7th –19th September 2021
  • Barbecue party on campus: 15th September 2021, Thursday
  • Enrollment Registration in Neptun for the semester: between 9th September 2021. 10.00 AM (Thursday) – 17th September 2021, 11.00 PM (Friday),
  • Registration in Neptun for the subjects:
    • for compulsory subjects: between 9th September 2021. 10.00 AM (Thursday) – 17th September 2021, 11.00 PM (Friday)
    • for elective courses: between 10th September 2021, 6.00 PM (Friday) – 17th September 2021,11.00 PM (Friday)

Please note: in Neptun at first you need to register for the semester (2021/22/1) as active or inactive, then for the compulsory subjects and their theoretical + practical courses (both from 9th September 10.00 AM), then the elective subjects (from 10th September 9.00 PM)!

  • Exams:

Regular exams: 20-23/12/2021 and 03/01 –04/02/2022

-State exams (thesis defence): 31st January 2022–4th February 2022

  • Deadline for submission of the thesis: 19th November 2021

 

  • 11th (practical) semester: 30/08/2021 –14/01/2022 (winter-break: 20/12/2021 – 02/01/2022);

exams for blocks taken outside Hungary are scheduled for 17/01/2022-28/01/2022.

 

  • A delayed 11th semester has to be started not later than 10th January 2022; has to be finished the latest by 13th May 2022.

The thesis submission is due by 28th March 2022, exams of the 11th semester are scheduled for 16th May 2022 – 27th May 2022; state exams (thesis defence) from 30st May 2022.

 

  • Bank-Holidays:

-23rd October 2021 (Saturday)

-1st November 2021 (Monday)

-24-25-26th December 2020 (Friday-Sunday)

-1st January 2022 (Saturday)

11th December 2021 (Saturday): working day

 

  • Special occasions in the Aula maxima:

Spring-term 2021/22

– Equus-days: 20th –24th April 2022

– Student’s Concert: 6th April 2022, Wednesday, 5PM

– International day: 20th April 2022 (Wednesday)

– Farewell March of the 10th Semester: 6th May 2022, Friday, 1.00 PM

 

  • Extramural practicals

– after the 4th curricular semester: Animal Breeding, (2 weeks)

– after 6th curricular semester: Animal Nutrition, (2 weeks)

– after the 8th curricular semester: Polyclinical practice, (4 weeks)

– during the 11th (practical) semester: Food Hygiene (2 weeks), Lab. diagnostics (2 weeks), State veterinary Medicine (2 weeks), Farm animals (4 weeks) and further Clinic (8 weeks)
