Academic Schedule for the 2025/2026 Academic Year

 

Winter-term 2025/26

Payment of the tuition fee of the fall-term is due between 10-20^th August 2025 (for all years, except the Freshmen), the prescribed tuition fee has to arrive at our account latest by 20^th August 2025!

Registration / Orientation for the 1^st international, English-language class: on Wednesday, 3 September 2025, at 10.00 AM on campus in person (for the German program: 4 September, Thursday, 10.00 AM). Course registration electronically: from 27 August 2025 (Friday) 8.00 AM till 12 September 2025 (Friday) 11.00 PM exclusively in NEPTUN, ONLINE (you will receive your Neptun-code and login information via e-mail)

Registration to higher semesters for active/inactive/passive status : from 27^th August 2025 (Friday) 8.00 AM till 12 September 2025 (Friday) 11.00 PM exclusively in NEPTUN, ONLINE. After 12 September you can register with a surcharge of EUR 100/week only, but latest by 30^th September (Tuesday);

Course Registration in NEPTUN:
From Wednesday, August 27, 2025, 8:00 a.m. to Friday, September 12, 2025, 11:00 p.m.

At first you need to register for the semester (2025/26/1) as active, inactive or passive, then for the compulsory subjects (both their theoretical and practical courses), and the elective subjects (if any)!

Please note (1): Indicated deadlines are NOT for starting payments, NOT for the arrival of your tuition fee at the bank – but for the registration at the Student’s Secretariat at campus.

Please note (2): registering for the subjects in Neptun and for the term with the registration sheet do count as registration (regarding tuition fee refund) and both administrative steps are required prior to the official semester start!

Please note (3): without being registered you are not entitled to attend classes and/or practicals. More than four weeks of absence (30%) in a term results in an automatic exclusion from the semester.

Deadline for withdrawal with (partial) tuition refund: 30^th September 2025.

11^th SEMESTER:

• Duration of the 11^th (practical) semester: 01/09/2025 – 16/01/2026 (winter break: 22/12/2025 – 02/01/2026)

• Thesis Upload in NEPTUN: Friday, November 28, 2025 12.00 PM (at noon!!)
• Final Thesis Submission (hard/bounded copy): Friday, December 5, 2025 12.00 PM (at noon!!)

• Exam period of the 11^th (practical) semester for blocks taken outside Hungary are scheduled for 19/01/2026-30/01/2026.
• State exams (thesis defence): between 2-6 February 2026
• Graduation ceremony: 28^th February (Friday) 2026, 14.30

 

Bank-Holidays:

23^rd October 2025 (Thursday), 24^th October 2025 (Friday), 1^st November 2025 (Saturday), 24-26^th December 2025 (Wednesday-Thursday-Friday), 1-2 January 2026 (Thursday-Friday).
Teaching days due to holidays: 18^th October (Saturday) 2025
Friday’s schedule is valid on Saturday, 18 October 2025 (instead of 24 October, Friday)

 

Spring-term 2025/26

Enrolment and course registration to ALL YEARS for active, inactive or passive status exclusively in NEPTUN, ONLINE: from 8.00 AM on 30^th January 2026 (Friday) till 11.00 PM on 9^th February (Monday) exclusively in NEPTUN. Final thesis submission (bounded copy) is due by 20^th March 2026

Please note: in Neptun at first you need to register for the semester (2024/25/1) as active, inactive or passive, then for the compulsory subjects and their theoretical + practical courses (both from 6^th September 2024), then the elective subjects (from 7^th September)!

• Deadline for withdrawal with (partial) tuition-refund: 30^th September 2024.

Students entering the 9^th curricular semester have to present their registration form for the thesis (so-called: Thesis announcement form or TDK application form) – with uploading them to Neptun.

• Exam period: 16-23/12/2024 and 02/01 –31/01/2025 (retakes from previous semesters from 1^st December 2024)

 

11^th semester students:

• Duration of the 11^th (practical) semester: 02/09/2024 – 17/01/2025 (winter break: 23/12/2024 – 03/01/2025)
• Deadline for uploading the thesis to Neptun: 29^th November 2024, for final submission of the bounded thesis: 13^th December 2024
• Exam period of the 11^th (practical) semester for blocks taken outside Hungary are scheduled for 20/01/2025-31/01/2025.
• State exams (thesis defence): between 3-7 February 2025
• Graduation ceremony: 28^th February (Friday) 2025, 14.30

 

Bank-Holidays:

23^rd October 2024 (Wednesday), 1^st November 2024 (Friday), 25-26^th December 2024 (Wednesday-Thursday), 1^st January 2025 (Wednesday). Teaching days dur to holidays: 7^th December and 14^th December 2024.

 

Spring-term 2024/25

The thesis upload to Neptun is due by 7^th March 2025, final thesis submission is due by 21^st March 2025, exams of the 11^th semester are scheduled for 12^th May 2025 – 23^rd May 2025; state exams (thesis defence) between 26^th – 30^th May 2025.
