Dr. Géza Szita, retired professor of the Department of Food Hygiene, was awarded a total of four medals in 2013 at international invention competitions for his invention called “Rapid and automated detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa by conductance measurement in selective medium" therefore he was the Hungarian inventor to receive most international recognitions in 2013.
He received a gold medal at both the INVENTO International Invention Exhibition in Prague and the Sixth International Inventor's Day in Sevastopol, won a plaque at the International Exhibition of Agricultural and Environmental Inventions in Biograd, and a silver medal at the chemical inventions’ contest in Warsaw.
