The 1st National Veterinary Hygiene Competition, organised by the University's students was a great success. All high school students could participate in the competition who are interested in animal health and veterinary. More than 300 groups have signed from all over the country. The best ten groups had the chance to learn through powerful experiences and compare their knowledge in the final, which was held in Budapest, regarding animal health, food safety, and animal welfare as well.
During the final students have visited the Richter Gedeon pharmaceutical company, the Szomor Farm, where they could learn more about livestock breeding, and the most outstanding moment for the participants was the autopsy practice.
The organiser’s goal was to reach those high school students who are passionate about animal health and has strong motivation to study and practice veterinary medicine.
Congratulation to all the competitors!
