In September, a delegation of Faculty of Veterinary Science, Kasetsart University (KU), Bangkok, Thailand visited the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest (UVMB). We were delighted to host Khongsack Thiangtum Dean and Tanu Pinyopummintr Vice Dean for foreign affairs. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the living connections of Kasetsart University and University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest.

The rector of our university invited Khongsack Thiangtum Dean to discuss various measures to enhance bilateral educational relations and to explore various research collaborations.

The first MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed in 2013 by Dean Khongsack’s predecessor Professor Apinun Supraset and Professor Péter Sótonyi in Hungary. That time Dr Khongsack also participated in the delegation as Vice Dean and UVMB was a faculty (i.e. Faculty of Veterinary Science Szent István University). Recently Dr Khongsack was elected to the position of Dean and UVMB became independent again. The KU and UVMB have the intention to brush up their relationship in the new era.

We are glad to share that the updated MoU has been signed by Dean Khongsack and President Sótonyi in the frame of this visit.
