Equus Days – We had some fun

“Equus Days” is the biggest event of the University Veterinary Medicine Budapest, the only genuine event organised by the students, when youngsters take over the campus and fill it with colourful programmes.

It was in 1975 that student days were first organised, and this playful celebration has been held every year since then. First Equus Days lasted for two, then for three days, but now we have four, even five or six days of celebration much to the delight of students but causing headshakes on the part of teachers.

As part of the one-week Equus Days’ programme the students organise the International Day as well, where students of different nationalities set up their camps in different areas of the park, hoist their flag, and begin to cook and to offer the typical delicacies of their countries.

As a matter of course, a party is organised every night so that participants can have a rinse after the eventful day.
