New Memorandum of Understanding between UNIVET Budapest and SNU brings new possibilities

The University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest (UNIVET Budapest) signed a bilateral memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Seoul National University College of Veterinary Medicine (SNU). Along with our mission, the Seoul National University is committed to diversifying its student and faculty, fostering global exchange, and promoting path-breaking research in all fields of veterinary.

Professor Hee-Jong Woo, the dean of the SNU visited our university and signed the MOU with the rector, Dr Péter Sótonyi. The MOU confirms the intention of the two institutes to establish a partnership and encourage cooperation in the field of research and education. Dean Hee-Jong Woo was accompanied by professor Ho-Jae Han, Former Vice Dean and director of Brain Korea 21, professor Seong-Chan Yeon, professor of Wildlife Medicine and Ms Yumi Lee, from the SNU’s Office of General Affairs.

After the signing ceremony, the delegation visited our campus and the experimental farm at Üllő.

About our new partner institute:

The College of Veterinary Medicine at Seoul National University (CVM SNU) consists of three fields: veterinary biomedical sciences, veterinary pathobiology, and preventive medicine, veterinary clinical sciences. They offer biomedical education, basic and clinical science integral research, humanities/social integration, and policy research. They are contributing to the management of the ecosystem and disease of wild animals in the country. Furthermore, they are actively trying to respond to the national demand through cooperation with veterinary education institutes located in Asia, Europe, and North America. (source: SNU’s website)
