After the success of the first Presentation Day last year, the University of Veterinary Medicine organised the event for the second time on the 7th of May. 37 students gave their short, 5-7 minutes-long presentations.
The event, which took place within the framework of EFOP-3.6.3-VEKOP-16-2017-00005 Project was preceded by a Preparatory Programme. Judit Kriska-Jámbor project manager, who also teaches soft skill faculties at the university, and Melinda Hanyecz-Zay coach helped the students to improve their presentation skills.
The event was opened by Dr Péter Sótonyi, Rector of the University of Veterinary Medicine. In his speech, he emphasized that this programme is an excellent opportunity for students to acquire soft skills that they will need in their later work. In addition to professional competence and scientific foundation, the jury also evaluated the ability of the participants to capture the audience’s attention. The scoring criteria included the uniqueness of the presentation and the extent to which the chosen topic was forward-looking, innovative.
The winner was Adrienn Gréta Tóth, while Marie Nehring and Ádám Kurucz won the second prize. Viktória Verebélyi, Petra Novinszky and Arisz Ziszisz were third in the tie. The Special Prize for Innovation was given to Szilva Kuffa.
The organizers hope that there will also be many students participating in the programme next year.
