As part of the latest Alumni Reunion, the Alumni Office of the University of Veterinary Medicine hosted the graduates of the 1994 academic year in the newly-renovated Student Centre, where the participants could relive their old university memories and discuss the progress of their professional and personal careers over the past 25 years.

The Alumni Office of the University of Veterinary Medicine aims to facilitate and promote the lifelong relationship of our alumni, in line with the spirit of our institution.

The first reunion organized by our Alumni Office was opened by Univet’s Vice-Rector for Education Dr. László Ózsvári, who emphasized how important it was for our students to keep in touch with their Alma Mater even after their graduation and participate in the school’s professional and cultural programmes as well as the university’s life and be actively involved in our Alumni community.

After the opening speech, head of the Alumni Office Nóra Kerekes gave a brief introduction into the Office’s operation and goals and then presented the latest Alumni website. The new online platform allows our registered Alumni members to get information on the available services and discounts as well as the latest news and events regarding the life of the University, while the Career Office, which forms an integral part of the Alumni page, enables our former students to share their job offers or practical internship positions for current veterinary students. In addition, the new website will soon feature a database which they can search for their former fellow students and reconnect with them.

After the brief introduction, each participant shared some details about the events of the past 25 years, their professional successes and careers. The personal accounts were followed by some wine tasting and happy conversations.
