Congratulations to Dr. János Varga, Professor Emeritus, who received the Officer’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit from Dr. László Palkovics on August 23, 2021.

Dr. János Varga, a veterinarian, microbiologist, regular member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and professor emeritus of the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest, was honoured with this distinction in recognition of his decades-long outstanding research, teaching, and professional contributions to the field of veterinary microbiology and epidemiology, as well as his contributions to professional and scientific public life.
