This workshop will cover safe and effective methods of clinical restraint and body positioning for both cats and dogs, as well as in-clinic methods to reduce patient fear, anxiety, and stress.
For cats, we will be practising a series of towel wraps designed to increase comfort for the patient while improving safety and ease of treatment for staff.
For dogs, we will be going over some different holds for venipuncture and the principles of “cooperative care,” convincing the animal to position themselves for you.
