Univet Skills Lab: Backyard beekeeping – Guest speaker Tamás Sipos

Tamás Sipos is a honeybee researcher working with the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, as well as the Hungarian National Department of Beekeeping and Bee Biology. He is also an avid backyard beekeeper.

This workshop will cover the following topics:

  • What’s important when you set up a beehive.
  • Step by step, the regulations required by law.
  • What does climate change look like for honey bees?
This workshop also includes example beehives and LIVE BEES. The bees will not be loose but this class is not recommended for students with severe allergies.
