Honorary doctorate has been awarded to Professor Tamás Horváth

Professor Tamás Horváth has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the Faculty of Medicine at Leipzig University for his outstanding scientific achievements in the field of neurobiology of metabolic regulation.

Following a secret vote at the Faculty Council in agreement with the Senate during its meeting on June 20, 2023, the award of the honorary doctorate to Prof. Tamás Horváth was approved and given on 29 September 2023.

Congratulations to our colleague, Tamás Horváth DVM, PhD, who is a research professor at the Yale University School of Medicine and the Department of Anatomy and Histology at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest. He graduated as a third-generation veterinarian in Budapest in 1992. He also obtained his PhD in biological sciences in Hungary. His research focuses on investigating the role of the central nervous system in endocrine regulation, and his scientific work has also been applied in nutrition research. In November 2022, he was included in the list of the world’s most cited researchers.
