We are organizing a donation drive for the villages of Badaló and Csongor in Transcarpathia.
We are organizing the drive together with our colleagues from Transcarpathia at the University of Veterinary Medicine: Béla Angalét, Attila Péter and Győző Tamási.
As winter approaches in war-torn Transcarpathia, the elderly and the sick are struggling with food shortages and lack many basic necessities. We encourage all our dear colleagues who are able to do so to help families in need.
What are we collecting?
- Staple foods: flour, sugar, rice, pasta, cooking oil, shelf-stable biscuits (non-chocolate), sweet spices (gingerbread spice, cinnamon, etc.) and savory seasonings (salt, pepper, Vegeta, etc.)
- Canned and ready-to-eat meals: canned hot meals, small cans of cold meals, instant soups and meals
- Other food items: tea bags, lemon juice, cocoa powder
- Personal care and household items: detergent, body wash, soap, dish soap
- Candles: long, standard candles (for power outages)
Where and when?
Donations can be dropped off in Building H, in the Cloakroom (next to the Bethlen Street entrance), from November 2 to November 30, 2026, on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
