Bio:
My name is Victor Delautre. I am a 4th-year student at the University of Veterinary Medicine of Budapest. I am French and show major interest in animal reproduction. Here is a picture of me and one of my favourite cows when I was on an internship in Denmark to evaluate whether or not calving pens were beneficial for animal welfare. I also was a junior engineer in Animal Science R&D for sow reproduction in France before coming to Hungary to become a vet student. I now seek for my thesis how could we detect silent cow’s estruses with an on-farm tool in a fancy way. This would help farmers or vets in the insemination decision. Not only would it help to limit manipulations on dairy cows, but it would also be beneficial for the farmer’s economy.
